Four die in Tzaneen car crash

A Toyota collided head on with a Hyundai this morning on the Deerpark road outside Tzaneen.

A motor vehicle accident occurred this morning on theĀ  R71 Deerpark road.

“A Toyota collided head on with a Hyundai sedan on a sharp curve,” Matome Moremi, spokesperson for the Limpopo Department of Roads and Transport said.

Four people, a driver, two passengers and a child were declared dead on the scene.

According to Moremi, the accident happened around 06:30 this morning and the possible cause of the accident is suspected to be reckless and negligent driving.

“Motorists are reminded to always keep a safe following distance and overtake where it is safe to do so,” Moremi advises.

The road was closed for traffic but is currently open.
