Three men appeared in the Bolobedu Magistrate’s Court last Thursday for the brutal killing of suspected criminals at GaWally Village a week ago.

Nakampe Victor Mashao (38) Prince Nkuna (35) and Lazarus Malesa (39), all from Ga-Wally Village were remanded in police custody when they appeared on three counts of murder and public violence.

Police spokesperson, Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo said that initially 11 suspects were arrested for the mob killing of Walter Moroasetlha (35), Kamogelo Sekgobela (17) and Tshepiso Mauwe (27), all from the adjacent, Block 5 Village. “The other nine suspects were released after preliminary investigations did not link them to the case,” said Mojapelo. Moroasetlha, Sekgobela and Mauwe were due to re-appear in the Bolobedu Magistrate’s Court at the time of going to press.

Mojapelo added that more suspects are still being sought and more arrests are possible. Anyone with information is requested to contact Colonel Cecil Machimane at 082-451-7181 or may call the crime stop number 086-001-0111 or the nearest police.
