TZANEEN: Beware of con artists impersonating health inspectors

Members of the public and business owners around Tzaneen are urged to be on high alert.

The Mopani District Municipality urges business owners and general members of the public to be on high alert as people who are impersonating environmental health practitioners continue unabated.

“We are urging business owners to always ask for the identification cards and letter of appointment from the environmental health practitioners who are visiting their food handling premises before they can allow them in to conduct inspections,” said municipal spokesperson, Witness Tiva.
