Tzaneen takes on Black Friday

Gallery: Some commuters struggled to even get transport early as buses and taxis were full, causing them to have to wait even longer.

Residents of Tzaneen and surrounding areas rushed to town in the early hours of this morning to get their shopping on.

There was heavy traffic coming into town as shoppers headed to the malls for their Black Friday big grabs from stores.

Commuters in Nkowankowa and Ga-Kgapane had to wait in long queues at taxi ranks as a lot of people didn’t want to miss out on big savings and big buys.

Some commuters struggled to even get transport early as buses and taxis were full, causing them to have to wait even longer.

In some stores, mothers could be seen carrying babies on their back while searching for items that may be on sale.

While outside some of the shops, people were seen seated down due to fatigue as they waited on family members and friends who were still busy with their shopping.

Some of the biggest items which were bought include the likes of plasma TV screens and speakers/sound systems while some made sure they get as many clothes into their shopping baskets as possible.
