Park completes yet another transformation
Park upgrades were initiated last year by Zantelle Ras as she called on the community to help in restoring the town to its former glory.

Minitzani has recently seen the completion of DinoRex, the dinosaur.
Speaking on how long it took to get the dinosaur in the park in Boundary Street ready, Zantelle Ras said it took two full Saturdays to repair all the fiber glass on DinoRex and the painters took 18 hours to complete painting the entire dinosaur.
She also gave a brief summary of the work that was done over the festive season.

“We were able to raise the funds for all the palisades that will enclose the whole Minitzani from one side right around to the other side.”
With the park being her first initiative, Ras has taken on the task to restore Tzaneen to its former glory. The work done at the park and the dedication put into it, along with the support she received, the project has proven to be a great start for her.

Although some of the park upgrades were scheduled to be completed before the new year, Ras excitedly told Herald that there is not much left to be done compared to when she started the initiative.
“Everything are back on track this week. However, we are currently looking for sponsors for all the stations. At the moment, three of the sixteen play stations have been booked,” she explained.

The park upgrades will include a security guard once all the palisades have been erected. Ras stated the security measure is to ensure that the park does not revert to its former state.
