Thakhuli confirmed that two vehicles were flooded and were towed to outside of the park’s gate.
“In particular, the S37 was closed due to the rain and all gravel roads were also closed as a result of the heavy rains,” stated Thakhuli.
The SA Weather Service is predicting thunderstorms for the next week. He mentioned that the park was busy monitoring the roads and urged visitors to be cautious when driving over lower-lying water bridges and not to use roads marked with “No Entry” signs.
