250 learners reached through back to school campaign

Hoedspruit SAPS held their 'back to school' campaign recently at the Lowveld Academy where they spoke to the learners about various topics and also ensured that they leave them with a word of encouragement to help them with their studies.

Hoedspruit SAPS conducted a ‘back to school’ campaign on Tuesday.

The police service visited Lowveld Academy Hoedspruit in the morning with Hoedspruit SAPS members and members of the police’s VISPOL.

Dignitaries were Commander, Captain Shadrack Thete, Detective Commander Captain Cobra Moriri, Communication Officer Sergeant Livhuwani Mulaudzi and Social Crime Prevention Coordinator, Sergeant Lawrence Hlungwani who all took part in a ‘back to school’ campaign reaching 250 learners.

The learners were addressed in the presence of teachers.

Captain Moriri and Sergeant Mulaudzi addressed social issues such as rape, sexual assault, gangster-ism, bullying and criminal records.

The issue of discipline was discussed and learners were advised to be disciplined to achieve their goals.
