Nhlamulo and his deep love for cars

Local car enthusiast, Nhlamulo Mtebule, says his love for cars runs deep and it has now become a lifestyle.

Mtebule, born and bred in Nkowankowa outside Tzaneen, day-dreamed of owning a German car as a child.

“My passion for cars began in high school when I used to admire other people driving beautiful wheels.

“I used to ask myself if I would one day be able to drive a great car too,” Mtebule stated.

The self-proclaimed petrol head currently owns two cars, a Golf GTI 7 Performance Pack and a 2019 Audi A4 TDI Sport.

He recently traded his Audi S3 Sport car for the A4 for practical reasons.

“I am a family man with two kids and my youngest child is 18-months-old, the car could no longer accommodate us, especially when we travel.

“Even though it is not as fast as the previous car, but it is also not a lazy car,” he added.

The A4 has features such as sports suspension, leather seats, a sporty feel, adaptive chassis control, sport steering wheel, power out of 140 kw with 400 newton of torque.

In the past he has owned cars such as Audi A3, Opel Astra Sportline, Golf GTI 6, AUDI A4 1.8, to name but a few.

He is also a member of a motoring car club called Torquing Cars R, which has members from as far as Botswana.

“We meet quarterly and share our knowledge about cars and analyse car reviews.

“We are more than a car group, we also do charity work in orphanages, painting their facilities and buy supplies,” he added.

One thing is for sure, he is living his best life the best way he knows how.
