Budding artists shine at Saffron Studio exhibition

Saffron Art Studio’s exhibition celebrated young talent, with drawings, paintings, and prizes inspiring confidence and creativity.

TZANEEN – The Saffron Art Studio recently hosted a vibrant art exhibition that brought together budding talent from the community. Sponsored by PNA and Paint Pot, the event showcased creativity across age groups and categories, with students proudly displaying their work to an enthusiastic audience.

The exhibition attracted an impressive turnout, with visitors admiring a wide range of drawings and paintings. The highlight of the day was the prize-giving, where winners received art supplies and gift card rewards that left the young artists smiling from ear to ear.

Peter Parrish said that only three young artists over the age of 12 entered the painting category, the judges noted that awarding all of them would not have been fair. Instead, the top honour was presented to Wesley Fowler for his outstanding work.

Parrish expressed gratitude to sponsors and parents for encouraging children to participate and share their creativity.

“It’s not just about winning,” said Parrish. “It’s about building confidence, showcasing talent, and celebrating the joy of making art.”
