GLM mayor donates uniforms to kids

Learners of Mohokone and Mamanyoha primary schools were handed uniforms by the mayor of Greater Letaba Municipality, Dagma Mamanyoha, recently.

The two schools benefitted from 101 parcels comprising school shoes, shirts, skirts, and trousers. Learners at Mohokone received 50 packs, while 52 packs were handed to Mamanyoha. The annual programme of the mayor is aimed to address the need for uniforms at primary schools at the beginning of the year.

“We expect high school learners to achieve good results in matric but often we do not realise that we need to take care of the girl or boy from a young age. We want to make sure that these kids’ integrity and dignity are intact. This way we boost a child’s confidence so that it will carry them through to high school.

“Dignity is everything in one’s life. By doing this little deed, I know I have tapped into the future,” he concluded.
