Tsakani on her way to Bulgaria

Tsakani Andries, a Grade 9 learner at Merensky High, will represent South Africa in an international pageant as Miss Pre-Teen Galaxy ‘23 in Basko, Bulgaria from March 15 to March 27.

“My passion for modelling started when I was only 5 years old. My pre-school, Little Rascals, used to have beauty pageants. I officially started to model when I was 10 years old. I joined the Limpopo Beauty Modelling Agency and later participated in my first pageant held by the agency.” She says she entered the Miss Limpopo competition, hosted her first charity project, and had her first radio interview.

“I won 1st princess in the junior pre-teen category and the public choice award with the most overall votes in my age category and in the competition,” said Tsakani. In 2022 she entered Miss Pre-Teen Galaxy South Africa and won the Miss Pre-Teen 2023 title and Miss Photogenic Galaxy 2023. “I am privileged and honoured to represent my country South Africa in an international pageant.”

She is someone I look up and hope I can someday follow in her footsteps,” she concluded.
