Tsakani crowned as Miss Teen Galaxy

Tsakani Andries who is currently in Gr 9 at Merensky High School was privileged and honoured to represent South Africa at the International Miss PreTeen Galaxy 2023 pageant in Bulgaria from March 26 to April 2.

The competition included a talent show, fashion show, national costume presentation, interviews, and the evening gown event, which she participated in and did excellently well. “During the last evening of the competition, I was astonished to be crowned Miss Teen Galaxy Super Grand Prix instead of Miss Pre-Teen due to my overall performance.

This was an amazing and humbling experience and a never to be forgotten moment for me on an international stage. This was also made even more special with the beautiful Miss Teen Galaxy Super Grand Prix trophy. I would like to thank Amone Modelling Academy, Tzaneen branch for the opportunity, especially my coach Cecilia Schreiber for her guidance and for mentoring me on this journey to Bulgaria.

Not forgetting my fashion designer: RShikz (Ripfumelo Shikwambana from Dan village) who designed all my apparel for the competition,” said Tsakani. She said that her most incredible gratitude and thanks go to her mom, who is also her manager for being a pillar of strength with the preparations. “She always tells me that if you want something in life you need to set your mind on it and work hard.

My greatest appreciation also goes to my amazing family for being my number one fan and all my social media followers. I aspire to continue modelling and be an inspiration to young people. I want young people to know that no matter what your background, you can achieve anything you want with hard work, passion, commitment, and most importantly, faith,” Tzakani concluded.
