Vonani donates to newborn babies

Beauty queen with a big heart, Vonani Shikwambana, donated essential baby items to needy mothers of newborns at Van Velden Hospital recently.

The pack included items such as clothes, nappies, and blankets. She told the Herald that the reason for her donation is to help mothers cope with the arrival of their new bundles of joy.

“The cost of living is high and being a mother who is unable to provide for the little one can be stressful. “Through this gesture, I’m hoping that it will ease the pressure on the parents,” she said. Shikwambana said the appreciated the warm reception she received from the hospital. During her visit, the packs were presented to two mothers who were identified as needy. The remaining gifts will be given to future needy mothers at the hospital.
