Two suspects on the run after shooting at a bank in Tzaneen CBD

The police in Tzaneen are searching for two armed robbery and attempted murder suspects after a man was shot yesterday at FNB bank in Morgan Street.

It is reported that a 31-year-old store employee of Asian origin drove to FNB with a 42-year-old security officer where they were going to deposit money into the bank. It is alleged that when the store employee dropped off the security guard to go deposit the money, two unknown men approached them.

The one man was armed with a firearm and he confronted the security officer who was walking towards the entrance. The security officer tried to retreat into the car but fell to the ground after he was shot in the stomach by one of the assailants.
