A residential property burned down last night on the corner of Aqua Avenue and Boet Lombard Street last night.
According to a neighbour Muis Joubert, he woke up after midnight from loud noises that sounded like metal falling.
“I looked around but couldn’t see anything and then called my neighbour and asked him if he could see anything from his property. He replied that the house next to us was on fire,” Joubert explained.
“He immediately called the fire department,” said Joubert.
He says that the occupants of the house were not home and that no one got injured during the fire.
The Herald visited the scene on Wednesday at 12:00 when smoke could still be seen coming from the house.
