Foundation shares information about employment and funding

After observing a need to furnish young people with information that can empower them, Magamana Rikhotso hosted an info-sharing event recently.

He is the founder of EMR Vision Foundation with a focus on empowering disadvantaged communities by allowing them to acquire experience and develop their skills to reach their full potential. Guests from various government departments, agencies and businesses shared information on topics such as employment and business opportunities, tax and labourrelated matters.

Adv Carla Mkhawana, MC of the event.

Guests included representatives from Nandzu Business Enterprise, Capitec Business, MTN Momo and Skhokho, Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA), National Youth Development Agency, South Africa Revenue Service, and the Department of Employment and Labour (DEAL) among others. Magamna says he plans to have these kinds of sessions every month, but funding is a challenge.

“I was happy with how the event went, especially the fact that we had so many businesses and organisations which were willing to attend to empower our young people.” The event was hosted by Adv Carla Mkhawana and Amu Mageza, who led the programme.
