The 6km fun run started from the Mulati paved road to the Marothi Sports Ground where the prizegiving was held.

Race organiser Lavani Shikwambana said the race aimed to introduce residents to a healthy lifestyle.

“The race was a success as villagers were united at the event. We received great support from the community and sponsors. We plan to present it annually in October,” he said.

Participants were also lectured on wellness, were screened for lifestyle diseases and were entertained by live traditional performances.
