Tzaneen women crochet blankets for special needs school

A group of women donated 20 handmade blankets to Letaba Special School's Gr R class, bringing smiles to the children's faces.

TZANEEN – A group of dedicated women from Tzaneen recently donated 20 handmade blankets to the Gr R class at Letaba Special School.

The group began their crocheting efforts in June, in preparation for Mandela Day. Since then, they have extended their generosity to other charities, including Noah’s Ark Children’s Home.

The women fund these initiatives out of their own pockets, demonstrating their commitment to giving back to the community.

“We love seeing the smiles on the children’s faces when they receive their blankets,” said Baloyi. “It makes all our efforts worthwhile.”

The group is calling on the community for support.

“Those who can contribute by donating wool or crocheting needles are encouraged to get in touch. For contributions or more information, contact 076 833 8421.
