Aspiring Limpopo poets and models mentored by notable figures

Liam Jaha ra Mutsonga Ngobeni recently hosted a poetry and modelling workshop and plans to host similar events soon.

LIMPOPO – Liam Ngobeni, known as Jaha ra Mutsonga, recently hosted a successful poetry and modelling workshop at Moyeshe Community Hall, inspired by his passion for Tsonga culture.

Through his Mugaza Foundation, Ngobeni aims to promote cultural activities and provide young people with enriching extra-mural opportunities, including modelling and acting.

The event drew aspiring poets and models from across Giyani, who received mentorship from notable figures.

Jaha ra Mutsonga and N’wa Mbhambha.

Poets were guided by N’wa Mbhambha, Maspala the Poet, and Nyeleti wava Tsonga, while models were trained by Rito Zitha (Miss Greater Giyani) and Saseko Rapitsi.

Participants were recognised for their efforts with medals and certificates.

Ngobeni expressed his satisfaction with the turnout and the positive reception from the community.

“I’m thrilled by the enthusiasm shown by locals and the success of the event,” he said.

The Mugaza Foundation plans to host a similar event soon in Mtititi, Malamulele, continuing its mission to empower young talent and preserve Tsonga culture.
