Unicorn Preparatory School bids farewell to two beloved and dedicated staff members, Hendrika Beggs and Jenny Hayes.

TZANEEN – Unicorn Preparatory School bid farewell to two staff members at the end of last year.

Hendrika Beggs and Jenny Hayes have been stalwarts at the school and beloved members of the Unicorn community.

“Mrs Beggs is retiring not only from our school but from an extraordinary teaching career of 51 incredible years.

Mrs Beggs’ commitment, kindness, and passion have left an indelible mark on generations of young learners, and her legacy will live on in the many lives she has shaped.

Mrs Beggs has been teaching at Unicorn for the past 23 years, where her dedication to teaching Gr 1 has been unparalleled,” the school stated.

“Mrs Hayes’ meticulous work accuracy, unwavering passion for Unicorn, and her infectious smile have left a lasting impression on all who have had the privilege of working with her.

Her can-do attitude and genuine warmth will be deeply missed by both the staff, learners and parents alike.

As Mrs Hayes embarks on the next chapter of her journey, we extend our heartfelt thanks for her years of service and commitment to our school,” they said.
