Giyani learners shine at Eskom Science Expo

Giyani learners showcased innovative projects at the Eskom Science Expo, with top entries advancing to the regional round in Phalaborwa.

LIMPOPO – The district’s Eskom Science Expo was held on Friday, May 9, at Khanyisa’s Technology and Science Hall, bringing together bright young minds from various schools across Giyani.

The event highlighted learner innovation and scientific curiosity, with learners presenting a wide range of creative and thought-provoking projects.

The expo was attended by esteemed guests, including Cynthia Lebetha, regional science fair director, curriculum subject advisors from the Department of Education, and dedicated local educators, Mathilda Musingarimi and Mr Baloyi.

Learners showcased their work to a panel of judges made up of teachers from neighbouring schools. After a thorough evaluation, the top projects were selected to advance to the regional Eskom Science Expo, which will take place in Phalaborwa during the third quarter of the year.
