Limpopo businessman gifts house to needy family

Philanthropist TJ Malamule gifts a new home to a family of seven in Mokgoloboto, inspiring hope and highlighting the power of generosity.

LIMPOPO – Businessman and philanthropist, TJ Malamule, handed a newly built house to a family of seven in Mokgoloboto, outside Tzaneen.

Malamule, who was born in Tzaneen and raised in Phalaborwa, launched his TJ Malamule Foundation as an act of generosity. The businessman, author, and business coach said he was deeply moved by the plight of the Manzini family, who had been struggling without proper shelter.

“I started school at Letsie Primary School. I walked barefoot to school, navigating the surrounding farms and the nearby river. I felt the need to begin where it all started for me,” explained Malamule.

“In matric, I wore my mother’s shoes to school. Later, in Pretoria, I hustled, going from flat to flat until things started to come together. I know what it means to be in need, and today I am blessed to give back.”

Malamule said that the decision to help the Manzini family was a personal one.

“Jane Manzini used to help my brothers and me as children, even with her own struggles. I spoke to my mother about building them a house, and she gave me her blessing.”

Though he is a businessman with several accolades, Malamule is equally passionate about philanthropy. Through his company, TTI Bursary Management, he is already supporting nearly 4 000 learners across the country. He urged young people to value education as a tool to overcome hardship.

“I went through school receiving handouts. With resilience, I managed to succeed. Education is very important. Young people must focus on their studies and not be distracted by destructive habits like alcohol,” he said.

Quoting basketball legend Michael Jordan, Malamule reminded the crowd that success comes with responsibility: “Be selfish enough to get to the top, and when you are at the top, be unselfish and do things for other people.”
