Tzaneen filmmaker showcases Limpopo talent in Algeria

Molatelo Bossman represents Limpopo at the 2025 Intra-Africa Trade Forum in Algeria, showcasing local talent.

TZANEEN – Molatelo Bossman was among 14 small and medium entrepreneurs (SMMEs) representing Limpopo and South Africa at the 2025 Intra-Africa Trade Forum (IATF) in Algeria.

Bossman, a multi-award-winning filmmaker and founder of Bolabothaba Multimedia from Modjadji, was selected through the Limpopo Economic Development Agency’s market access programme, which aims to promote trade, unlock new markets, and expand Limpopo’s exports across Africa.

The diverse group of exhibitors included toilet paper producers, organic salt innovators, filmmakers, and fashion designers, many of whom employ between two and three staff members, with the largest business employing around 30. This highlights their potential for growth and job creation with the right partnerships.

Bossman told the Herald she was proud to be chosen and valued the exposure the forum provided for both her and her students’ films. “I connected with many people interested in partnering with us, especially for film distribution. This platform is invaluable for small and emerging businesses,” she said.

Limpopo Premier Dr Phophi Ramathuba and Agriculture MEC Nakedi Kekana also attended the forum. During her visit to the Limpopo exhibition stand, Ramathuba encouraged the entrepreneurs to seize every networking opportunity at IATF 2025. She stressed that their participation represents Limpopo’s innovation, talent, and resilience on the continental stage.

“We are grateful for the support from the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition and the Small Enterprises Development and Finance Agency, who made it possible to bring these entrepreneurs. We believe this exposure will serve as a launchpad for their future growth and sustainability,” said Ramathuba.
