In Hoedspruit, farmers and contractors banded together to rebuild the vital Zandspruit bridge, washed away on the main road to Driehoek.
The initiative, shared on a local community Facebook group by resident Marius Bakkes, reveals determination and community-led initiative.
“This is a very special community we live in,” read Bakkes’s post. “Thank you to all concerned who are making this possible, you are all truly amazing.”

The collaborative repair comes as large parts of Limpopo remain under a Level 10 severe weather warning, with flooding still affecting major routes, dams, and tourism infrastructure across the province.
