Limpopo Spring Heritage Fashion Week debuts in Politsi
Former model Vonani Shikwambana brings LSHFW to Politsi's Old Park Distillery from September 21-26, spotlighting designers, shoemakers and businesses from all five Limpopo districts.
LIMPOPO – Former model, Vonani Shikwambana will host the inaugural Limpopo Spring Heritage Fashion Week (LSHFW) at the Old Park Distillery in Politsi on September 21-26. Shikwambana started LSHFW a few years ago and she wanted to broaden it to a larger audience and including the entire province.
A show built on heritage, arts and business
Speaking to the Herald she said this event is different from other fashion shows, because this one includes the heritage, arts and also business.
LSHFW takes five models, designers, businesses and shoemakers from all the five districts of Limpopo and they will come showcase their products and services.
Six days, six different showcases
Each of the event’s six days will be dedicated to a different activity.
On Monday, virtual art learners will be competing against each other to see who will make the best art work or they will be mentored by a professional artist.
On Tuesday traditional shoemakers will be showcasing their work; on Wednesday skin care manufactures will also be showcasing their products and skills; on Thursday, household cleaning product makers will showcase their goods; on Friday it will be a media networking session and on the last day it will be the fashion show.
