Mooketsi MTB Challenge a great success

The beautiful setting next to the Koedoes river at the APC Camp in Mooketsi was abuzz with activity on Saturday morning as more than 300 riders tackled the new tracks during the 7th Mooketsi MTB Challenge.

The new tracks, designed by professional track designer, Francois Theron, was a mix of challenging yet enjoyable, says the race organisers.

The race has become a popular event on the MTB calendar. The new venue with swimming pool, shade trees and lawns contributed to the great atmosphere enjoyed by riders and spectators alike.

The 70km race was won by Alan Gordon in the overall male and Melanie Melville in the overall female and the 40km race by Richard Lambert in the overall male and Anna Elisa Gutierrez in the overall female in the 10km the overall boys winner was Josua Retief and in the girls category Tashane Ehlers.
