Raholane won a gold medal after beating his contenders from other provinces in the 45 to 49 years category, as well as in the weight category of 59 KG and under.

“Iam very happy I won, this shows that the training which I did through out the year has paid off.

Next year my opponents must watch out because I’m coming and will give them a run for their money,”said Sergeant Raholane.

Raholane a marathon fanatic says he has lost count of his marathon medals but his biggest ones are the eight Comrades marathon medals.

Next year’s competition will be held in Mpumalanga and Limpopo Province will host the event in 2019.
