Miami Magoebaskloof MTB Challenge this weekend

THE 7th Annual Miami Magoebaskloof MTB Challenge will take place this weekend at Merensky High School.

The challenge offers three distances a 15 km fun ride, 35 km half marathon (elevation gain 650 m) for the brave, and 70 km marathon (elevation gain 1,350 m) for the die-hards.

The half-marathon and marathon distances are CSA sanctioned Limpopo qualifying events. The route consists of single tracks through indigenous forest and plantations as well as dirt roads and jeep tracks.

After the race you enjoy refreshments in the chill zone at the ‘Voerkraal’ at Merensky High School with coffee, pancakes, hamburgers and boerie rolls on offer as well as a beer tent by Tzaneen Rotary Club. Goody bags to all entrants and medals to all finishers with generous cash prizes up for grabs for race and category winners.

Proceeds from the race will benefit local charities and the chosen charities this year are the Tzaneen Care Group and Noah’s Ark Children’s Home.
