Locals to brave the Comrades tomorrow

This year 18 residents of Tzaneen have qualified to participate in the Annual Comrades Ultra Marathon tomorrow, Sunday 9 June.

The majority of the runners (17) are from the Tzaneen Marathon Club and one from Lé Club.

Each one of these athletes had to run a standard marathon (42,2km) in a time faster than 04:50 minutes to qualify for the race.

Comrades is 87km long, from Durban to Pietermaritzburg.

The organisers are expecting almost 20 000 people lining up in Durban on Sunday morning, 9 June. Bushvalley Chickens sponsored the members of the Tzaneen Marathon Club with bags to assists them with their effort.
