Limpopo runners shine at Masingita Mall marathon

The second annual Masangita Mall 4in1 Marathon drew enthusiastic local participation, with notable victories in various categories.

LIMPOPO – The second Masangita Mall 4in1 Marathon was deemed a great success with many locals taking part in the event.

Rirhandzu Rhangani won the 42.2km men’s race in a time of 02:16:52. He was followed by Omo Hlungwane with a time of 02:30:34 and in third place was Annnius Mailua with a time of 02:34:55.

In the 21km half marathon was won by Zeinel Tsipa finishing in a time of 01:07:34, while Given Makana obtained second place with the time of 01:12:02 and in third position was Chauke Proud with a time of 01:12:04.

In the 10km event, Mathopi Malatjie won with a time of 31:31, Tuwani Mulaudzi was second in 33:02 and third was Akani Mathebula with a time of 34:04.

This was the second edition of the event and the first time it included the 42.2km marathon distance. More local runners also participated thatn before.

The results of the women’s race were not available at the time of print.
