Christmas is about spending time with family. So why not grab the popcorn and indulge the family with these classic christmas movies.

Doris Walker, a no-nonsense executive at Macy’s, hires Kris Kringle to play the store’s Santa Clause, a nice old man who claims to be the real thing. When he is institutionalised as insane, a young lawyer tries to prove in court that Kris is indeed Santa Clause.
Home Alone (1990)

Eight-year-old Kevin McCallister is accidentally left behind when his family leaves for a vacation in Paris.
Initially, he is overjoyed but soon realises being home alone isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Especially when he has to defend his home from two idiotic burglars.
The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992)

The Muppets’ version of a Charles Dickens’ classic, A Christmas Carol.
The bitter, selfish and greedy Ebenezer Scrooge receives some unwanted visitors on Christmas Eve who have one night to try to persuade him to change his ways.
The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

Jack Skellington accidentally discovers Christmas. He becomes obsessed with the idea of Christmas without understanding the meaning. He kidnaps Santa Clause and takes over the role, making and delivering inappropriate presents children around the world.
The Santa Clause (1994)

When Scott Calvin accidentally kills Santa Clause, his son Charlie persuades him to put on the suit, climb in the sleigh and finish the job.
In the morning, however, head elf Bernard explains that due to a clausical contract written on a card Scott found on the late Santa, Scott is now Santa Clause.
Jack Frost (1998)

Jack Frost is a father who can’t keep his promises. When he dies in a car accident, his family is devastated and left with numerous unresolved issues.
One year later, he returns as a snowman and has one last chance to rectify his relationship with his son before he is gone forever.
Dr Seuss’ How the Grinch stole Christmas (2000)

When Cindy Lou Who meets the Grinch, she becomes curious. Who is he and why does nobody in Whoville like him?
On her quest to uncover his past, she tries to befriend him and include him in Whoville’s Christmas celebrations. This leads to chaos, destruction and ultimately to the Grinch trying to steal Christmas.
Christmas with the Kranks (2004)

When Luther and Nora Krank’s daughter Blair tells them she’s not coming home for Christmas, they decide to skip Christmas altogether and rather spend the money on a vacation. Their decision leads to much animosity between them and their neighbours who treat them as pariahs.
While packing on Christmas morning, Blair calls to tell them she is en route home. Hilarity ensues as Luther and Nora try to plan a traditional Christmas in only a few hours.
The Polar Express (2004)

A young boy desperately wants to believe in Santa Clause but finds it hard to do so with his family’s insistence that it all is just a myth.
It all changes on Christmas Eve when a magical train arrives to take him to the North Pole and on the ride of his life.
Arthur Christmas (2011)

Santa’s clumsy son, Arthur, has two hours to deliver a forgotten present before Christmas Morning.
With the help of his grandfather, a trusty elf and the original sleigh, he sets out to rectify the error. However, the trip turns out to be anything but smooth sailing.
