The docu-reality series is produced by Mirror Effect Media, a production company based in Randburg and owned by Nkowankowa born and bred Nyikiwe Mathye.

Mathye attributes the success of the show to his whole team and says they all work well together.

“I would like to thank the Mirror Effect Media team, everyone does what is required of them, when it is required.

I also want to thank my wife, my kids, because I sometimes work away from them and yet they are still supportive of my dreams.

Moreover, I thank my mother for the support through my tertiary days untill now,” explained Mathye.

The former Merensky High school matriculant has also produced other televised programs such as Going Strong, an elderly show which curretly plays on SABC 2 every Tuesday, The Back Story, which played on SABC 3 and Six Zeros which played on SABC1.

“I believe Limpopo has talent and by opening the school here, we wanted to show that it is possible to study, work and live in Limpopo.

Most of the local talent has been absorbed by Gauteng because there is more exposure and opportunities there,” added Mathye.

He pleads to the Limpopo government and other relevant stakeholders to start seeing film and production as a means of making a living.

He also believes that the reason other provinces such KwaZulu Natal and the North West produces good stories, is because of the provincial government support.
