Bamakwha FC defeats Black Pirates after scoreless friendly match goes to penalties

In an exciting friendly match between two soccer teams from Daniel Rababalela village, the winner of the game was decided by a penalty shoot-out in extra time on Sunday.

Bamakhwa FC and Black Pirates had a friendly match to prepare for their upcoming tournament. Both teams played full time but remained scoreless, 0-0, and had to go for penalties where Bamakhwa FC won the game 5-4.
“Well, we are happy to see that we are back in shape after many months of no practice, so for us to have been able to last for 90 minutes shows that going back to training was the best thing to do. We still have to practice more for us to win on the coming tournament,” said Bamakhwa FC captain, Delton Chilolo.

Black Pirates captain, Nicholas Nkuna says that he is disappointed with the loss but it was a lesson for them to go and fix their mistakes.
“We approached the match as a friendly, and felt like we should not take it seriously, and that’s what costed us. We still have a lot of practicing to do, and we should also learn to take every match as a champions tournament, and give it our best, in that way we will be able to improve our soccer skills,” he said.

“So far I’m very with the progress made, and hope that this will continue with the coming generations,” said Manuel Rikhotso, organiser of the match.
Rhikotso says that he is pleased that the community members took his initiative seriously and turned up to support the teams.
