Car hijacked in Mhluzi

A man was allegedly hijacked between Extension 2 and Avalon in Mhluzi, while dropping off a friend during the early hours of Saturday morning 15 November.

The victim Mr Jabulane Maseko from Mhluzi, just noticed an unknown man entering the passenger seat, assaulting him and two other opening his door.

One of them then hit him with a gun on his forehead, the victim continued to fight them until he heard a gun shot go off.

“I do not know what happened to the lady I dropped off, ” said Maseko.

The men eventually threw the victim out of the car and took off.

The victim walked to the nearby filling station to ask for help, he got help from a police van paroling.

“I then starting feeling slight pain on my right leg”, said Maseko. He then discovered he was shot, he was then taken to hospital to treat the wound.

He phoned his tracker company and the car, a metallic green Toyota Avanza, was found abandoned in Tafel Kop on Saturday.

No arrests have been made, the case is still under investigation.
