Poor attendance at Copper Theft Campaign

The Middelburg SAPS hosted a Copper Theft Awareness Campaign at the Nasaret community hall on Wednesday, 25 May, but were disappointed at the poor turnout from members of the public.

“This is an important meeting and it is vital for the community to get involved, speak to us and allow us to share insight and solutions to crime, and in this case specifically copper cable theft,” Colonel Poppy Mahlalela of the Provincial SAPS said.

In this regard, a follow-up meeting will be held on 7 June at Mafube Village. The entire community, all interested parties and stakeholders are strongly urged to attend.
