Brothers accused of robbery

Two brothers from Extension 4 in Mhluzi appeared in the Middelburg court on a charge of robbery.

According to Capt. Khanyisile Zwane, Middelburg police spokesperson, the men were arrested after they allegedly confronted a man walking down Samora Machel Street, they confronted him with a knife and robbed him of his belongings.

The victim went to the police and together they managed to spot and arrest his alleged attackers.

Clement Mnisi (24) and Mvuleni Mnisi (22) face a charge of robbery with aggravating circumstances for allegedly robbing A.P. Jonker of R1 000 cash, his identity book, bank cards and Samsung cellphone. They have been denied bail and will appear in court again next week.
