Mhluzi man shot twice and killed
A man was shot twice and killed in what neighbours described as "mysterious circumstances" at his home at Extension 4, Mhluzi, during the early hours of Sunday morning.
It is believed Sipho Mahlangu was first shot in his shoulder by an unknown assailant who attacked him after breaking a window and demanding to be let inside at about 03:00.
According to neighbours, Sipho managed to get away and hide, but the suspect followed him and shot him again, this time in his chest.
Residents ran outside to investigate the gunshots but the suspect had long escaped and Mhluzi Police say there are no witnesses who saw the attacker.
“Sipho was still alive when residents discovered him screaming and covered in blood. They found him naked, with just a condom on. He managed to tell them what happened and said that he doesn’t know the male that shot him. He then died while waiting for the ambulance”.
The Mhluzi SAPS are investigating a case of murder and have appealed to the public for any information that could lead to an arrest. They can be contacted at 013 249 1021.
