Here comes Sensation!
Lady’s and gentlemen, this website finally grew some wings, thanks to Sensation!
www.mobserver.co.za prized racing pigeon was bought last Saturday at the Pionier Duiweklub’s auction.
And whilst the debate raged whether to name the winged hero Deadline or Sensation, the club’s Pieter Goosen found a solution to the problem and suggested two racing pigeons for the newspaper.
Sensation was bought last week and Goosen is busy with the breeding process for Deadline – yes fairly ironic that Deadline was rather delayed.
Should the racing pigeons win any competitions, a portion of that prize money be shared with www.mobserver.co.za who in turn will donate it to a charitable organisation.
Johnson’s Crane Hire have committed to match the amount the pigeons win with a donation of their own.
It is collaborations like this that make Middelburg a special place!
• Goosen will be responsible for flying the birds.
