Police have staged a road block on the N4 highway and are pulling off several vehicles – leading to more commotion at the Middelburg Toll Plaza.

Earlier this morning there was a power failure at the toll plaza which resulted in a backlog of about two kilometers on either side of the plaza.

The problem was resolved at about 10:00 but just a couple hours later a road block on the N4 Highway resulted in additional delays.

Solange Soares Nicholson, spokesperson at TRAC, said that the situation was beyind their control but that traffic was flowing – albeit at a slow pace.
