Teenager missing

Please be on the lookout for a teenage girl from Middelburg who has been missing since Saturday, 10 December.

Marisa Venter (15) is a Grade Seven learner at Middelburg Combined School.

According to her foster mom, where she has been living for the past two years, Marisa waited until everyone was asleep before she left her home.

She was last seen at the Sasol Garage near Doornkop where she got a lift from a truck at around 22:00 that night.

She told bystanders that she was looking for a lift to Nasaret where someone from Pretoria would come pick her up.

Marisa’s biological mother is a heroin addict who was recently released from prison in Gauteng. She also has an aunt in Pretoria.

A message on her cellphone indicates that her aunt might have been aware of her plans to run away from her foster home.

She also has an older brother who lives in Ermelo.

It is suspected that she might have gone to meet up with her mom.

Her foster parents noticed a change in her behaviour recently, but never thought that she would run away from home.

Her friends in Nasaret claim that they do not know where she is. It is suspected that she might still be in Nasaret or somewhere in Ermelo or Gauteng.

Anybody with information can contact Sgt Vincent Komane on 079 373 4704 or her foster parents on 082 611 7615 or 084 515 0047.
