Six die in horror crash
Six people, one a baby girl, died in a horrific accident near Paardeplaas, about five kilometers from Belfast on the N4 direction Middelburg, last night.
The accident happened at about 20:00 when a light delivery vehicle (bakkie) with a trailer, lost control on the wet road and hit an oncoming bus from Mozambique head on.
The bakkie was driving in the direction of Middelburg and the bus in the direction of Nelspruit. There were 40 passengers in the bus. The bus has a Mozambican number plate.
Six passengers in the bakkie, which included three men, three women and a baby girl, were killed on impact. The driver and a passenger of the City Liner bus were taken to the Middelburg Provincial Hospital.
