Residents, business owners and property owners are reminded of the anti-crime strategy meeting scheduled for 12:00 today at the Middelburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry auditorium.

The session was scheduled by the municipality in an effort to rid Middelburg’s CBD of criminals and thereby attracting respectable business back to the CBD.

The session promises to provide the municipality with a number of workable anti-crime strategies in the CBD, and getting the buying power back to town where a multitude of business spaces stand empty.

www.mobserver.co.za has been notified that a council meeting scheduled for after the session had been cancelled.

The anti-crime specialist would have met with councillors to discuss his presentation with organised business.

According to a reliable source, councillors complained that they did not have enough time to prepare for today’s sitting.
