#TrafficUpdate: Ongoing strike, roads still blocked

The N11(Hendrina road) remains blocked due to ongoing protest action.

Contract workers from Optimum Mine have downed tools and the N11 and the main road going to Optimum were scattered with burning tyres and logs.

A truck was parked in the middle of the N11 with a load of sand dumped next to it.

Recent reports were received that Eskom is also striking at the Arnot power station near Optimum, Kwagga north.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes.
