#TrafficUpdate: N4 Traffic increases due to early morning shootout between police and robbers

Traffic flow on the N4 has been disrupted by the early morning shooting between police and a gang of robbers who lew up an ATM in Mhluzi this morning.

Three robbers were killed in the shootout on the old Witbank road.

The R555 was subsequently closed for traffic while K9 officers and their dogs were searching for the remaining robbers who fled on foot.

Motorists are urged to be careful when approaching the Middelburg toll plaza where traffic is backed up due to the sudden increase in cars.
The R555 remain closed until further notice.
