Lace up and light up for the Middelburg Care Village
Walk it! Jog it! Run it! Bring your whole family; it’s time to glow!
Residents can put on their running shoes tomorrow, October 9, for the 4.9km Middelburg Care Village Lights Festival Fun Run and Walk at the Middelburg Country Club.
Registration opens at 17:00, with the event starting at 18:00.
Bright clothes and torches
Held annually, the event raises funds for new lights for the Care Village’s Lights Festival.
“Our aim is to really grow the Lights Festival and make improvements each year, but we can’t do it without the help from our community,” said one of the organisers.
Organisers encourage participants to bring a torch and wear bright, sparkling outfits to make the night as colourful as possible.
The event is open to all ages and fitness levels, with options to run, walk or jog.
Entry details
Entry is R50, while children under 12 participate for R30.
