Update: Reports of money scattered at deadly shootout scene
Unconfirmed reports suggest that a bank notes were scattered all over the area of the shootout between police and a gang of ATM robbers early this morning.
Three robbers were killed in the crossfire.

The old Witbank road (R555) remains closed for traffic at this stage.

Forensics are busy collecting evidence from the vehicles abandoned by the robbers during the shootout.
Residents of the rural area should remain on the lookout for suspicious people.
