Who killed Pastor Christopher?
Residents are demanding arrests in the brutal slaying of Pastor Christopher Mokwena outside God's Grace Healing Ministries on Wednesday night.
An unknown man entered the church while Pastor Mokwena was conducting a service.
The hitman forced the pastor out of the church at gunpoint and told the congregants to continue with the service as he had some business to take care of with their pastor. Members of the church immediately contacted the police.
When police arrived on the scene they found Pastor Mokwena lying in a pool of blood, about 200 metres from his church’s door.
Pastor Mokwena sustained bullet wounds to the upper body and was declared dead at the scene.
The SAPS has launched a manhunt for the cold-hearted killer.
A member of the GGMH church, Mpilo Ngomane, expressed her sadness about the senseless killing.
Ms Ngomane described the pastor as a gracious man who cared for the community.
“He was a good man, he even helped pay for the funeral of one of the residents here,” she added.
Katlego Makua said since the pastor was gunned down, she and her family are living in fear.
“What happened is beyond belief, killing a man basically in front of his congregation, we are worried that the killer is still at large,” said Ms Makua.
No arrests have been made.
