Peak-time traffic halted after bloody collision

A horrific accident involving a Nissan light motor vehicle and a coal truck left a bloody scene on the Hendrina/Carolina road on Thursday, over lunchtime.

The car involved was completely mangled, offering little to no resistance against the heavy duty truck.

Traffic was brought to a stand still after the collision with very little answers as to what led to the tragedy.

A witness at the scene, told www.mobserver.co.za that two occupants of the Nissan were involved in the accident as well as thetruck driver.

It is unclear to the extent of what their injuries were.

He confirmed that the accident occured on Thursday afternoon around 14:00 and that police were on the scene.
