Gloria Mine death toll stands at 5
The number of people who succumbed in the Gloria mine-shaft incident remains at 5, as depicted in the previous media statement.

Four of the deceased have already been identified by their next of kin, leaving one member unidentified.

The sixth person, whom was hospitalized, was discharged and is currently in police custody. The 26 year old man is expected to appear before the Blinkpan Periodical Court facing a charge of trespassing.

The police are currently waiting for for his passport to formally determine whether his entry of the country was legal.
Regarding the 5 people who died, three have been identified as Lesotho nationals and one South African. They were fingered as the perpetrators who illegally entered the mine-shaft on Wednesday, in an attempt to rescue those who allegedly gained entry on Sunday.
