Family of N4 Tragedy identified
One of the five victims who passed away in yesterday’s tragic accident on the N4 has been identified.

Mrs Gretli Steyn was travelling with her husband, Piet Steyn (47) and their two children, Marli (18) and Pieter (10) at the time of the accident.
According to eye witnesses, the driver of an Isuzu double cab lost control of his vehicle in the rain and then veered into oncoming traffic. Authorities have confirmed that the Isuzu was carrying five occupants, including a four month old baby.

The driver, who was coming from Malelane, had stopped to pick up two hitch hikers. The driver, one unknown female and one unknown male, both died upon impact.
The four month old baby was rushed to Life Midmed Hospital by bystanders but later passed away. The baby’s mother remains hospitalised.

According to reports, the Steyn family have sustained serious injuries, however, they are in a non critical condition.
Mrs Gretli Steyn was the owner of GMC Debt Solutions in Lydenburg.
